Program Overview
The Worldwide Christian Leadership University is designed to provide students access to higher education that will support them in their personal and professional life. Courses will be offered by faculty who are also supportive of students and are committed to providing a sound biblical and academically rigorous courses. Students also have the choice of several degree programs that support their learning experience.
Programs Offered
Programs offered range from the Bachelor’s level to the Doctoral level. Each degree program has a clear set of credit hours that are required for the program as well as a set of required courses, distribution needs and electives that give students a range of course options to support their needs.
Bachelor Level
The WCLU Bachelor level program, an 80 semester hours program, provides students with a basic undergraduate experience looking at foundational courses that give students a broad background academically as well as courses in the Major or special emphasis. There are two Bachelor level programs offered. One is the Bachelor in Christian Studies. The second Bachelor program is in Christian Ministry. Students in the Bachelor level program will be able to focus their elective courses to create a special emphasis that meets the student’s career or personal calling needs.
Bachelor in Christian Studies
The Bachelor in Christian Studies is an 80 semester hour program that prepares students for a career or service as Christian leaders. The courses prepare students to think critically and ethically, communicate clearly and live faithfully so as to live with integrity in our diverse world.
Bachelor in Christian Ministry
The Bachelor in Christian Ministry, an 80 semester hours program, provides students considering a call to ministry with both a grounding in the academic basics of an undergraduate education and a rich foundation in the fundamentals of Christian ministry.
Master Level
The Master level program is an advanced program that provides students with more in-depth studies in specific areas. The program basically builds on the general knowledge of the undergraduate degree program. The Master programs at WCLU are 30 semester hours. WCLU offers three Master’s programs: Master in Christian Leadership in a Globalized World, Master in Christian Ministry and the Master in Urban Ministry.
Master in Christian Leadership in a Globalized World
The Master in Christian Leadership in a Globalized World is an advanced program that challenges students to develop their spiritual, professional and personal growth to become effective leaders in our global world.
Master in Urban Ministry
The Master in Urban Ministry prepares students who would like to work within an urban context or who feel called to do so. The urban ministry program provides students with an understanding of how urban congregations differ from suburban and rural contexts.
Master in Christian Ministry
The Master in Christian Ministry, a 36 semester hour program, prepares students to develop practical skills needed to conduct ministry in the 21st Century. With a strong background in the basics of church history, theology and scripture together with ministry courses.
Doctoral Level
The Doctor of Strategic Christian Leadership, a 51 semester hour program, allows students to strengthen their leadership skills. Students look at biblical servant leadership principles and business leadership concepts that can be applied to one’s ministry or non-profit organization.
Doctor of Strategic Christian Leadership
Through the Doctor of Strategic Christian Leadership, a 51 semester hours Program, students can hone and strengthen the leadership skills built on biblical servant leadership principles to a business, ministry or a non-profit organization.
