Master in Urban Ministry
The Master in Urban Ministry prepares students who would like to work within an urban context or who feel called to do so. The urban ministry program provides students with an understanding of how urban congregations differ from suburban and rural contexts. Students learn how to translate the Gospel effectively to urban churches and how one conducts pastoral counseling, religious education and social ministries within the diversity of the urban context. This 30 semester hour program allows students to really focus their ministry skills on the heart of the urban church and its specific needs and challenges.
